About:
Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), New Delhi is a statutory body set up under an Act of Parliament viz., TRAI Act, 1997. TRAI has been established to regulate the Telecommunications Services and to protect the interest of service providers and consumers of the telecom sector, to promote and ensure orderly growth of the telecom sector and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. The functions relating to regulation of Broadcasting and Cable Services Sectors have also been entrusted to TRAI from 2004.

Qualification:
- Officers of the Central Government, Public Sector Undertakings and Statutory and Autonomous Bodies: holding equivalent post in Level-13 on regular basis; or; five years of regular service in Level-12; or; having twelve years of regular service in Group A, and having held a post of level-12 for a minimum period of five years.
- A Master/ Bachelors Degree in Business Administration/ Economics/ Commerce/Engineering/ Law/ Science/ Humanities from a recognized University/ institution or, Membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India/ Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India and possessing requisite experience in the relevant field.
- A Master/ Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a recognized University/ Institution and possessing requisite experience in the relevant field.
Experience:
- Should have work experience in analyzing and dealing with cases and litigation in the High Court and Supreme Court or in similar Appellate Tribunals.
- Should have work experience in examining policy issues from a legal perspective, and the drafting of statutory regulations, directions and rules.
- Should be thoroughly familiar with court procedures and tendering of legal advice.
- Should have work experience in performing quasi-judicial functions or administering tax laws or regulatory functions under a Central Government statute.
