Qualifications:
- Draft and negotiate a wide variety of commercial agreements with clients from all industry sectors
- Contribute to and reinforce the Marsh McLennan Legal, Compliance & Public Affairs (“LCPA”) Department’s Strategic Plan and initiatives that impact the LCPA organization
- Demonstrate strong written and oral communications skills
- Collaborate effectively with business, operations and legal and compliance colleagues
- Promote an ethical culture where employees are encouraged to voice their concerns and opinions
- Above all, exercise sound judgment
What you need to have:
- At least 10 years’ experience as a contracts specialist, contracts negotiator, or procurement professional
- Post-Secondary diploma or degree

Responsibilities: The Senior Legal Specialist is responsible for providing strategic and tactical advice to Marsh McLennan’s Marsh and Mercer US businesses, advising on commercial contracting and associated matters. Working closely with the business and other members of the Legal Team, among other duties, the Senior Counsel will
- Review and negotiate client engagement letters, client service agreements, consulting agreements and statements of work (SOW)
- Review Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and prepare responses in compliance with Company contractual requirements
- Communicate company and legal department policies and approval processes for contract changes to in-house clients
The role will report to Marsh McLennan’s Chief Counsel, Contracting Solutions – Marsh & Mercer US.
