eBaoTech has its over 1,800 employees worldwide and is seeking a highly experienced Legal Manager to join the team based in India. You will be responsible for all legal matters in assigned regions.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure full legal compliance regarding all existing laws, regulations and the company’s Policies in the applicable region.
- Lead legal aspects of planning for and negotiation of eBaoTech contracts.
- Provide legal support to business development in the region and other international transactions.
- Support regional and local business in regulatory, commercial and management issues.
- Manage outside counsel and provide appropriate coordination for legal services / support including handling all litigation matters related to the business.
- Support all enabling functions such as Contract, Intellectual.
- Property rights (incl. trademark, patent and copyright), Software Product, on legal issues and risk.
Requirements:
- To succeed in this key role you should have a minimum of 7 years post qualified experience coming from a multinational corporation or international law firm.
- Minimum of 4 years in-house experience and 4 years of experience covering multiple jurisdictions globally.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong international transactions background.
- Strong communication, negotiating, analytical, organizational and leadership skills.
- Good exposure to regulatory and compliance work.
- Exposure to IT / technology / e-business industry would be highly advantageous.
- Commercially minded.
- Mature, strategic, commercial and with strong managerial skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
